Diet High in Antioxidants
When it comes to varicocele, your diet and supplementation do really make a big impact.
A diet high in toxins and oxidizing agents will severely worsen varicocele and varicocele related symptoms (e.g. pain, infertility, impaired virility, etc.)
On the other hand, a diet high in anti-inflammatories, and anti-oxidants will aid in reducing varicocele swelling and healing varicocele symptoms.
A major culprit in this game is a set of chemicals called Reactive Oxygen Species.
REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES (ROS)
ROS are chemicals that are healthy and important for cellular function at normal levels. However, men with varicoceles have typically have very high concentrations of ROS in their testicular veins. High levels of ROS damages:

» Sperm (impairing motility and morphology)
» Sperm DNA (impairing viability)
» Veins (thickening vein walls)
» Vein Valves (increasing varicocele swelling)
