Exercise type is also important! A study came out showing that men who play basketball are more likely to develop varicocele than those who play water polo. Yet another study showed a relationship between biking duration and varicocele symptoms and grade. There is also a relationship between elite athletes and varicocele. As well, another study linking long-distance running to varicocele.
