Mr. Daniel Johnson, B.Sc.
What treatment options exist for varicocele?
Well, when it comes to treating varicocele, there really are only two options.
#1) Varicocele surgery
#2) Natural treatments
There is no medication. There is no alternative method of healing your veins.
If varicocele is a genetic disorder of faulty valves, then how can I treat it "naturally"?
You may hear over and over again that varicocele is a genetic disorder, that faulty valves pool blood in the testicles. However, this is far from the truth and is actually very misleading. The fact of the matter is that environment as well as lifestyle choices greatly effect varicocele prevalence, grade and symptom severity.
Questions you MUST ask yourself:
Ask yourself, why would smokers with varicocele have a 10 times higher infertility rate than non-smokers with varicocele. Ask why would those who play basketball have higher chances of developing varicocele, and have higher grade varicoceles. Ask why is constipation causally related to varicocele development. Ask why we can't just screen our children for faulty valves and address the problem in early on. Ask why varicocele surgery is not recommended in many European countries. Ask why those who have varicocele pain before surgery do not have any improvements in pain after having surgery. Ask why about 30-50% of those who undergo surgery do not see any improvement in pregnancy rates. Ask how can varicocele re-develop (10-20% of cases) post-surgery in veins there weren't previously "genetically faulty" and varicose.
If varicocele just just genetically faulty valves, then why do so many things effect its development, grade, and severity?
The truth is that varicocele is not a simple genetic disorder. Actually everyone in the scientific community already knows this. Look at any publication on varicocele that's in any esteemed journal, which has been peer reviewed--there is mass agreement that we do not yet know exactly (we have ideas, but they lack accuracy) what causes varicocele, and that more high quality research is required to verify that varicocele surgery has any efficacy.
I get messages everyday from people who complain about how their varicocele has redeveloped post surgery, or how surgery has actually worsened their symptoms. Just read this email from this poor kid
"First of all want to thank you to provide such an effective treatment and showing us hope..
Sir, I am suffering from varicocoele from 3yrs..
Got once operated the left side, but then it reoccured and now I have in both the testis."
What a sad story. This should never happen.
Unfortunately varicocele surgery is over diagnosed because of the its financial benefits for surgeons. No one should have varicocele surgery because of varicocele caused pain. Varicocele pain is easy to treat naturally. Varicocele surgery for infertility must follow certain criteria, and should be considered as a last resort, as a simple nocturnal scrotal cooling treatment provides similar benefits.
Are you looking for varicocele treatment without surgery?
Great new is that there are many lifestyle changes you can make to alleviate your varicocele pain. There are natural treatments that are much more effective than having surgery for improving varicocele induced infertility. There are natural remedies to reduce your varicocele swelling.
Best of all? These treatments are so simple and easy. They require simple lifestyle changes that you can implement in a few minutes a day.
