Proper underwear is a great therapeutic tool for pain relief, testosterone, infertility, and varicocele treatment​.  Proper underwear is a must for everyone with varicocele and must meet the following criteria to be therapeutic (good):

• Must maximize heat release to cool the testicles
• Must provide scrotal compression to enhance testicular blood circulation
• Must not be tight around the waist to minimize pressure around torso

THE WRONG UNDERWEAR = ​
​TESTICULAR DAMAGE!

Unfortunately, normal underwear is the wrong underwear.  It is the culprit behind a lot of testicular pain, low testosterone, and infertility.  The problem is that right now, no major underwear manufacturer is really thinking about producing underwear that is supportive of testicular health. Here is what to look out for (bad):

• Overheats the testicles (just feel your testicles, if they’re hot, you know your underwear is damaging)
• Is too tight around the scrotum (this causes physical stress and damage)
• Mixes compression with poor heat exchange (over heats the testicles and prevents cremaster reflex)
• Is tight around the waist
